Bio B&B La Fanciullaccia
The Bio B&B La Fanciullaccia is located in an old farmhouse from the end of the 18th century, which has been renovated and enlarged several times. Since we have lived there (end of 1999), we have also made some changes, trying to maintain and recover the traditional architectural elements that still "survived". The house has outside a relaxation corner under the olive trees and the orchard, an uncultivated space with some wild essences and two annexes, in one lies the wonderful wood-burning oven the other serves as a shelter for bicycles and laboratory / workshop. We offer our guests two rooms both with private bathroom and with independent entrance. The breakfast you will find is composed entirely of organic food, partly produced by ourselves. In addition to "classic" drinks (tea, coffee, milk ...) we offer herbal teas prepared by Marilena with the wide variety of aromatic herbs available to us. We ask you, when booking, to indicate your needs, and if you have problems with intolerances and allergies. CIN: IT050005C28M6KZWPU
A point that does not make us unique but very careful is that of our impact on the environment, an aspect that we have tried, over time, to address through various solutions, in a path that we intend to continuously improve and expand. As regards electricity, since the end of 2010 we have activated a photovoltaic system that allows us to use part of the energy we produce and part of the energy taken from the grid supplied by the Dolomiti Energia company, 100% certified by renewables. As for the water, we have collected rainwater from the roofs which we then use in the winter to drain the toilets and in the summer to irrigate the garden. In summer, we also have the habit of recovering the vegetable washing water, then using it to irrigate potted plants. We have always used that of the municipal water supply as drinking water. Finally, we inserted a Grander vitalizer at the beginning of the implant. To heat the whole house, we have been using a wood-burning stove since the beginning of 2014, which also allows us to prepare food and heat the domestic water. All the wood we use comes from pruning in part of our trees, in part supplied by a friend of our gardening company. We do not buy wood coming from the cutting of the woods. For energy saving we have all windows equipped with double glazing. Finally, we are lucky enough to find ourselves in a position protected from northern winds, where temperatures, even in winter, are never excessively cold.
